Rome – Apr 30, 2025
We’re happy to share that with the latest update, our translation AI Lara now supports the 32 most widely used languages in the world, including Semitic languages such as Arabic and Hebrew, and Asian languages such as Japanese, Korean, Thai, Malay, and Indonesian. This brings Lara to an additional 600 million speakers worldwide, now reaching over 2.8 billion native speakers. The new languages are now available to both Lara Translate users and enterprises through the web app, which now features a Team plan, the API, and a new AI Agent.
Your AI Model, Shared Across Teams
With the new Team plan, localization managers can now share the AI model they’ve trained using the company’s language assets with colleagues across departments. This means everyone from marketers to project managers to content creators can translate content and documents in a way that consistently reflects their company’s voice. You don’t even need to be a Translated customer to get started. You just need to upload your own translation memories to adapt the model from day one, or let us build them from your approved translations. Your data won’t be used for training within Lara, and your model is private and will never be shared.
Automate Translation Tasks with AI
The new Lara Translate Agent uses AI to perform localization tasks autonomously, helping users automate time-consuming processes such as project management and file preparation. This way, we offer users a level of automation that, until now, was only available through our TranslationOS platform.
The agent is part of a growing ecosystem of AI tools now aligned under a shared standard called the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This standard allows agents to work together across platforms, making it easier to integrate translation AI into daily activities.
